How you can help those alone and afraid?
For the last eight months, our mission has been focused on offering love and joy to those alone, faith and belonging to those feeling anxious, and hope and a smile to those afraid.
• Thanks to you, we provided the community with counseling and helped those in quarantine celebrate their graduations and milestone achievements.
• Thanks to you, it was possible to move all our classes online so everyone could join from the comfort of their home.
• Thanks to you, every Friday, people stuck at home received “Shabbat Food Packages”.
• Thanks to you, when families were apart and the elders were alone, you helped provide Passover Seder To-Go packages, Shavuot packages for adults and kids, and 500 New Year gift bags.
• Thanks to you, the Hebrew school reopened in in-person learning as well as online, to accommodate everyone at their comfort level.
The anxiety, isolation and number of Holidays spent alone has grown, being compounded by months of divisiveness and fear with no end in sight. The need for connection, love and community is stronger than ever before.
