10/10 - Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe following Hurricane Milton. First and foremost, I want to check in—how are you doing? Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any help.

Baruch Hashem, our family is well. We know many people in our community (including us) do not have power or cell reception. If you’re looking for a place to power up or cool off, you’re invited to Chabad, where we expect to have power restored by tonight. In the meantime, you can come to our house next door to Chabad, where we are running a generator.

We are still planning to hold Yom Kippur services as scheduled at Chabad. If you are unable to attend, you’re welcome to pick up a Yom Kippur Machzor or a Yizkor booklet to use at home.

Though power and phone lines are down in some areas, you can still reach us via our dedicated hurricane number: 941-236-5101, or call or message Rabbi Yosef directly at 917-280-5795.

Stay safe, and let us know if you need anything. Further updates will be coming soon

With blessings,
Rabbi Sholom Schmerling
